Here in Brazil we don’t have the tradition of baking cookies. You can find some brands in the supermarket, but for me it’s not the same thing, usually they are dry and hard…not good for me! So yesterday afternoon I adventured myself in the kitchen and tried to make my first oatmeal raisin cookies, and after a little research on the web, I came across this recipe on Smitten Kitchen…thick, chewy oatmeal raisin cookies? Yes please!
I confess that I over baked a little bit the first batch because I didn’t know the exact time to take them out, they always looked the same every time I checked the oven….but I’m happy to say that I nailed the second batch! Nothing like learning from your mistakes..haha. But despite all, the cookies were delicious, I will definitely make them again soon!
