Dresden – Part II

IMG_6753

Second round of photos of our trip to Dresden! Hope you enjoy 🙂

We visited Pillnitz Castle, located at the eastern end of Dresden. For our bad luck, it was closed, but we still got to see the beautiful view and take some great pictures (even with the rain).

A little view of the castle, which is located on the bank of the river Elbe.

The Wasserpalais, which steps go down to the river, as you can see on the funny picture below…hahaha

We finished our day at the Altmarkt (Old market) and for our luck the Striezelmarkt was happening. This Christmas market is one of the oldest in Germany, it was founded in 1434, we were definitely amazed by it.

Loving that time of year more and more, German Christmas traditions are so much fun!

We really enjoyed this quick trip, Dresden is a wonderful and charming city, and I hope to visit there again!

    • It’s true, I think the Altmarkt Christmas market in Dresden was the biggest one I saw until now. Didn’t know there was also a medieval market there, must be really fun! Definitely want to go back there, thanks for your tip! xx
