Happy Monday, friends!!
Hope you all had a good weekend 🙂 Over here, we had a really nice one! Saturday evening we went to a Vernissage where our friend was exposing one of her pieces of art. We met some friends there, had some drinks and in the end of the night ate some pizza! I should have taken a picture of her work, but I forgot what I can say is that is was one best there! Yesterday, we slept in, and had a lazy day on the couch watching movies and series…and had pizza again at night…definitely one of the best things in life ❤ hahaha
But my life is not just pizza, guys..haha if you follow along Instagram (follow me, @brunaiglezias), you have noticed that I venture myself doing some embroidery hoops. I already posted my first embroidery hoop here on the blog, but I never posted my other hoops. So today, I decided to share them 😀
Since rock music is a big part of my life, I decided to do an embroidered series of iconic rock albums. By now, I have two hoops and another on the way 🙂
Rolling Stone’s most famous tongue, but not in the regular version. I decided to do the Forty Licks album tongue, a more psychedelic version. This one took me time and patience (a lot of patience!) I love the colours, but some stitches could be better. But as a beginner, I will improve my style (I hope! hahaha).
Alright, even if you’re not a rock fan, you must recognize the most famous banana of all time! Andy Warhol’s incredible work of art for the album The Velvet Underground and Nico. Until now, this was my favourite hoop, I had a really fun time doing this banana, and was amazed by the result…felt sooo happy!! You can see the embroidery details on the first photo 🙂
I am really enjoying doing this kind of work, it’s fun to see an idea transform itself into something so nice. Hope you enjoy this as much as I do!
Have a wonderful week 🙂
xx
